6 cups all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp baking powder
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp granulated sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
5 1/4 cup milk
1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons oil
6 large eggs



  1.   Place ingredients in a large mixing bowl and combine until well blended and smooth. Let batter rest 5 minutes before using. Preheat your waffle iron.

2.   Once waffle iron is ready, pour 2 cups of batter evenly over the lower grid. Spread batter using a heat-proof spatula to within 1/2 inch of the edge of the grid.

3.   Close lid of iron. The indicator light will turn off. When the indicator light turns back on again, the waffle is ready. Open lid and carefully removed baked waffle, and serve.

4.   Repeat with remaining batter.


*Waffles can be topped with various fruits, syrups or other toppings.


Makes 24 waffles.
